Long-term objectives

Working to foster multicultural harmony, WorldFest will be developed as a non-profit organisation and move on to undertake an expanded role in the community through a multi-level agenda.

1. Outreach Programmes will broadcast the message of fostering multicultural understanding through education, example, and shared experience. Activities and presentations will be made to schools, councils, community groups and the broader community itself

2. SchoolFest will be developed, in consultation with Metropolitan High Schools, with an orientation for students 12 years of age up to Senior High, to provide "A youth expression of multicultural harmony"

3. SongFest offers an exciting opportunity for Sydney's many nationalities and cultures to put their musical heritage on show to everyone. It is intended to eventually align this event with international Song Festivals held in Europe.

4. The WorldFest Ball will mark the Official Launch of WorldFest and will host a cosmopolitan guest list of Consuls, Government and VIPs, Community and Ethnic Association leaders. They will enjoy a global banquet of International cuisine

5. WorldFest Scholarships will be planned with the NSW Education Department and Independent Schools groups. These will be open to all schools and suitable for Senior High students - Years 11 and the programme's particular focus will be on multicultural student exchanges, and language & cultural studies.
